TECH CEO HOLDS ‘INTERVENTION’ FOR APPLE FANBOYS
Jason Calacanis, the CEO of Mahalo.com, kicks Mac Fans right in their, er, apples with this funny rant he posted on YouTube. He says that Apple Fanboys help enable Steve Jobs to lock down technology platforms, such as the iPhone, by blindly supporting his every move. The only thing that’s missing from the video: a number to call to find the next AA (Apple Anonymous) meeting.
WIKIPEDIA VS. PREDATOR – WHO YA GOT?
Speaking of smackdowns, Predator is challenging everything on Wikipedia to a death battle via the website Wikipedia vs. Predator. The site loads a random thing from Wikipedia, then Predator and asks you to vote on who would win. So far, it looks like Predator will have Wikipedia’s head in his trophy room very soon.
THAT’S AN ALIEN IN YOUR STOMACH, NOT A CHEESEBURGER!
Predators hate Aliens, but clearly the guys at Funny or Die love them. They made this hilarious sketch parodying “Alien,” in which the guy with the alien baby in his stomach insists it’s just food poisoning from a bad cheeseburger. The blood running out of his mouth? It’s just cheeseburger juice, you guys. Nothing to worry about.
THE LOST, TOTALLY AWESOME EPISODE OF “STAR TREK: VOYAGER”
There was a lot more sci-fi hilariousness on the Interwebs today. Check out this hilarious, epic comic from Space Avalanche that’s also the best episode of “Star Trek: Voyager” ever. If you always suspected “Star Trek” could use more sex, drinking, porn, violence and holodeck dickery, then this comic is a must read.
FELICIA DAY: DOES THE CARPET MATCH THE DRAPES?
At this year’s Blizzcon, there was a panel for the web series “The Guild,” starring geek sweetheart Felicia Day. One questioner decided to risk getting beat up by Orc cosplayers and asked the actress if she’s *really* a redhead. Her funny reaction is in the video:
