Google Opt-Out Village Has Everything: Privacy, Tranquility and Death

Monday August 17, 2009 3:40 PM

Google is everywhere. It keeps track of all of our search history, maps, forum logins and important documents.  We don’t mind that Google has access to all of our most personal information. Could there be anything better than G-O-O-G-L-E (we say loudly for the Google gods to hear us)?    We’re not scared of Google at all.  So what if our emails from our girlfriends were forwarded to our moms after we talked smack about the great Google last week?  Who cares if our company payroll was erased from our Google spreadsheet after we suggested Google Chrome was inferior to FireFox?  We’re fine.  We love Google.  Did you hear that? Google is AMAZING!

But, for those fools who turn their back on Google, “The Onion”  brings us a story about a new opt out option.  The supreme search engine is offering to let people go to an Opt-Out Village.  After all, privacy is important for everyone, especially for those very special photos we’re storing online.
